Sidemount Specialty
Explore the dynamic world of RAID Sidemount Diver, a course designed for divers seeking comfort, flexibility, and enhanced safety. Spanning three days, you'll delve into the nuances of sidemount configuration, learning to manage one or two independent cylinders with ease. The first day is dedicated to theory and a comprehensive confined water session, ensuring you understand and can apply the principles of sidemount diving effectively.
The course then progresses to four open water dives over two afternoons, totaling a minimum of three hours underwater. These dives focus on honing your skills in buoyancy control, tank management, and maneuverability, particularly beneficial for exploring tight spaces and overhead environments. Sidemount diving not only offers a more comfortable and accessible diving experience but also adds an extra layer of safety through gas redundancy.
Our RAID Sidemount Diver course is perfect for those looking to adapt to a more flexible diving style, enhancing their underwater explorations with a streamlined and efficient approach.

While scuba diving around Koh Tao is generally safe, as with any marine environment, there are certain marine creatures that have the potential to be hazardous. It's essential to be aware of these species and take appropriate precautions. Some examples include:
Sea Urchins: These spiky creatures are common on rocky surfaces. Accidentally stepping on a sea urchin can result in painful stings. It's advisable to watch your step, wear sturdy dive boots, and be cautious when navigating rocky areas.
Scorpionfish and Stonefish: These camouflaged fish can deliver venomous spines if stepped on or touched. Careful finning techniques and avoiding contact with the seabed can reduce the risk of encountering these creatures.
